These are really nice quality shorts for workout out or running. The material is lightweight and water-resistant with a good bit of stretch to it. The fit is true to size. I'm wearing a large which is my normal size and they fit perfectly. Also, there's lots of nice, small details like the pulls on the zippers of the pockets that gives them more of a premium feel. Overall, I'm very happy with these shorts.

The Northyard Men’s Athletic Dry-Fit Shorts are good quality and the same as what is carried at your local sporting goods stores. I really like the zippered pockets and the color block combinations.Fit: I feel these shorts are a little baggy in the front hip and leg areas and they seem a whole size larger than the printed size. I don’t mind a little room in my shorts, but I don’t like the overly baggy look. I have dry fit shorts in medium and large and these medium shorts fit like a large.I would have like to try these in a small to see if the leg and frontal areas wouldn’t be so baggy but then again, I think the waist would be too tight in a size small.Depending on your preference of fit, these shorts may not pose an issue for you. Other than being a little baggy I think these shorts good. If a size short alleviated the bagginess, I would take these in the other 3 colors because I like the feel of the shorts and the zippered pockets. For size reference, I’m 5’7 about 170lbs with an athletic build.

I got these shorts because I wanted something that I could wear over tights for running in cooler weather. I recently got back into running after a two year hiatus so I needed to grab some new gear. These shorts are great. They fit well, they’re the perfect length, they’re lightweight, they dry quickly, and, best of all, they have deep zippered pockets. I’ve had so many pairs running shorts over the years that has shallow pockets without zippers - you might as well not have any zippers at all because those types of pockets are worthless when running. These are great shorts for the price. I totally recommend them.

The Northward athletic shorts are great for lounging around the house, or wearing for a brisk walk. I ordered the two-toned black and gray shorts in an x-large size which fit my husband as expected. The lightweight, unlined fabric has minimal stretch, similar to fabric commonly used in a swimming suit. With two pockets of medium depth, the zippers are a useful enhancement. The shorts have an elastic waist band with draw strings allowing for a 2"-3" adjustment in waist size. These shorts are attractive, lightweight and would work equally well for the athlete or couchpotato.
